Vacancy – Amherst Conservation Commission
The Amherst Conservation Commission (ACC) is seeking to fill a current vacancy for Alternate Commissioner. The ACC was established under RSA: Chapter 36-A, and has functioned for over 50 years fulfilling its mission to inventory, conserve and manage the Town’s natural resources, including over 2600 acres of forests, wetlands and grasslands, and over 26 miles of trails.
The ACC currently seeks an individual with particular interest and experience in the areas of either water resources protection, agricultural practice or real estate procurement. The ACC is an all-volunteer organization appointed by the Board of Selectmen, and accomplishes its mission largely with the time and talents of its members. We meet once or twice monthly in public session, and along with the assistance of our trail and nature stewards, undertake a wide range of conservation projects.
